    Description

Vintage STIRLING MOSS race car collection Book, Photo, Signed Card + Signed Letter + stamps
I have collected these Stirling Moss items from various different sources
in the UK and USA over the course of the last twenty five years or more.
Included in this auction the following items:
~ Original 1950’s 7 x 9 inch b/w photo of Stirling Moss in his Dunlop racing
gear in the snow at an unknown racing venue in the snow..
~ Signed 4 x 6 inch black and white Mercedes promo card from the 1955
Aintree win ’To Roger? have fun! Stirling Moss’
~ A signed letter on Stirling Moss letterhead dated Feb.8th. 1984 with
typed personal message.. see note below.
~ Four 1971 German auto racing postage stamps featuring Mercedes and
    Auto Union race cars.
~ 1963 1st. edition book Design and Behaviour of the Racing Car by Stirling
Moss and Laurence Pomeroy. This book is a treasure, packed with wonderful
historic photos, diagrams and descriptive text sometimes in great depth and
technical detail. Book was published by William Kimber just one year after
Moss retired from racing after a bad injury from a crash at Goodwood in 1962.
Book is hard bound, 285 pages, dust jacket protected by clear cover, condition
    is
excellent clean and complete with tight binding.
    NOTE
I obtained the two signed items from a very reputable ephemera dealer
in England about twenty years ago. He had just purchased a large collection of
famous sports persons autographs that an elderly gentleman was liquidating
    after a
    lifetime of
collecting. His name is on the letter described above.
