    Description

    Vintage Ford Employee Badge #1146
Northville Valve Plant.  The Northville Valve plant was the first of Henry Ford's two dozen water powered Village Industries and made 100% of all the valves for Ford engines at the time.  The plant has since been restored for other uses, but still has the 16 foot diameter water wheel that powered a portion of the manufacturing process.
This badge is from the 1930s and is made of stainless steel, a premium steel that Henry pioneered in mass production a few years earlier - note the incredible detail in the embossed design - the Ford Tri-motor airplane in the upper right, the Ford ore boats at the bottom, and, of course, a sampling of the various manufacturing plants.
This beautifully embossed badge makes a wonderful vintage keepsake for yourself or for a present.
    The badge measures 1" X 1.25"
This is for a fund raiser for the Northville Historical Society and Mill Race Historic Village.
