Vintage 1976 Annalee Scarecrow Doll Halloween Fall 9’’ Original Tags, Hand Painted
This is a vintage Annalee Mobilitee Doll from Meredith, N.H. dated 1976.
I have collected Annalee Dolls since I visited her shop in the 1960’s.
This is one of my original dolls.
The scarecrow measures 9 inches high and has both of his original tags.
The green square hang tag says that Annalee Thorndike was the designer of this doll.
It also has an attached white tag with the 1976 date.
The hand painted face has a cute one tooth grin and wonderful expression.
He is dressed in denim and pillow ticking, with a red felt vest.
He has a burlap/straw hat, gold floppy felt hands, and black felt feet.
He has the original wire stand and his wire body is flexible, a feature of the TM Mobilitee dolls.
The Fall scarecrow is in excellent condition and I have enjoyed him as part of my Halloween display since I bought him in 1976.
He comes from a smoke free home.
