    Description

    I have for sale a rare Civil War period General Grant cast zinc bust in a round bubble glass frame.
    As far as I can tell both Abraham Lincoln and General Grant busts were produced. Although, rare, the Lincoln bust come up for sale from time to time, but the General Grant bust is much rarer.
    It is stamped J. Powell & Dated 1865 on his bottom right shoulder. You can see this in the (4th) & (5th) photos above, plus more below. I have provided over (4) dozen photos below to give you a thorough view.
    The glass, frame, and bust are in very good condition. There's a couple pieces of debris under the glass. Also, there's a Victorian metal hanger on the back that I will send along with it.
