HOW TO MAKE INDIAN AND OTHER BASKETS
Privately published in 1903 in Pasadena California by the author, George Wharton James. This volume is much more in the scholarly tone, and has fantastic examples of many fine baskets of various tribes of the American Southwest. Filled with hundreds of pictures and illustrations.
THE BASKETRY BOOK
Subtitled, "Twelve Lessons In Reed Weaving", this 1914 book by Mary Miles Blanchard dives immediately into the detailed specifics on numerus basket weaving styles and project. With amazingly clear and concise photo illustrations, it is certainly a must-have reference for any seroius basket maker or hobbiest. Each chapter concludes with question for the reader about project just covered, so perhaps this was designed to be a textbook for Girl's schools studies of that era. 111 pages.
