This Heating Mantle is a fiberglass insulated round bottom flask
heaters for laboratory applications. The exterior of the heating mantle is a
plastic-coated metal casing, with a pre-molded fiberglass liner to hold the
round-bottom flasks. The heating element consists of a chrome-nickel alloy
resistance wire, which is electrically insulated using a crocheted high-
temperature yarn. The adapted shape ensures an even heat transition to the
glass flask, and a layer of fiberglass insulation under the heating element
reduces heat dissipation to increase efficiency.
