======================
Ferrari dominated the 2002 Formula One season, the team winning 15 out of 17 races (Schumacher 11, Barrichello 4) to match McLaren's record number of wins in a season, set back in 1988. 10 pole positions, 9 one-two wins and at least one Scuderia driver on the podium in each of the 17 races on the calendar.
Their successful run, however, was tainted by a team orders controversy at the Austrian Grand Prix. In a replay of 2001, Barrichello was asked to give way to Schumacher on the final lap of the Grand Prix, except this time for the win. An embarrassed Schumacher then pushed Barrichello to the top step of the podium, and Ferrari were subsequently fined million by the FIA for interfering with podium procedures. This debacle eventually led to the banning of team orders ahead of the 2003 season.
Schumacher matched Juan Manuel Fangio's record of five world championships, set in the 1950s, at the 2002 French Grand Prix. Ferrari finished 1–2 at the United States Grand Prix, Barrichello leading Schumacher after the latter had slowed down on the last lap to attempt a 'dead heat' with his teammate, by a margin of 0.011 seconds, in one of the closest finishes in Formula One history.

Please bear in mind that MOST autographed items offered on EBay are fake. The best way to avoid problems is to buy from a respected dealer with a physical store. You want someone that will be there when you walk in the door, or call on the phone. Do a little research. Find out who you are purchasing from. If it is too good to be true... chances are it is fake. Don't take a risk when investing. Would you buy stock from someone who will only communicate with you by email? Would you buy a Rolex from someone on EBay who doesn't give you their phone number or address? Don't treat your memorabilia investment any differently. Rock'n'Roll and Hollywood memorabilia is VERY hard to come by. Someone with the wherewithal to authenticate a piece knows what it is worth. There is not a respected dealer in the business who has multiples of these types of pieces. Real dealers have long waiting lists on the high end pieces... they won't be sitting on big inventories. In addition, please research so-called "Forensic Examiners", whose letters are not accepted by legitimate dealers or auction houses. Search for information about them on Google and draw your own conclusion.. We are not the only dealer selling authentic pieces, but we are one of the few. Use your brain, educate yourself, and enjoy collecting! - The Autograph Source Aspen.
ABOUT THE AUTOGRAPH SOURCE:
The Autograph Source specializes in unique, History, Hollywood, Sports, and Rock'n'Roll pieces.
Our goal is to provide you with an investment-grade collectable that will be an incredible conversation piece in the short term, and appreciate in the long term. Many of our clients purchase pieces from us as part of their overall investment portfolio. We pride ourselves on being able to sell pieces for reasonable prices, enabling the items that you buy from us to grow in value with the market.
We have provided customers all over the world with some of the finest pieces the industry has to offer. We appreciate that buying autographs can be a daunting task even for experienced collectors. Know that you can purchase from us with absolute confidence. Look under “authenticity” for more information.
The Autograph Source is located in downtown Aspen, Colorado. Our location gives us exposure to many of the modern celebrities and their agents. The simple fact that many of the autographs that we sell are from people who pass through our retail location gives our customers absolute confidence that our pieces are real.
What you see here on EBay, and on our website is only a snapshot of what we sell. Due to the unique nature of our business, sometimes it can take us months to authenticate and negotiate for a piece. By the time we receive the piece, there can be several parties interested in purchasing it. As a result, a high percentage of our pieces sell in the first 48 hours. The best way to obtain quality pieces is to contact us with a “wish list”.
Founder Rick Schultz has been involved at the highest level of this field, as the managing partner of a high-end memorabilia gallery here in Aspen since 1996. He has been collecting for most of his life, and has found a way to live and breathe his passion for Rock’n’Roll, Sports, Hollywood, and History each and every day. Feel free to contact Rick, or any of our staff, at any time.
AUTHENTICITY OF OUR PIECES:
The Autograph Source works with the certified experts in each field that we sell in order to make insure that every piece we sell is authentic. Rather than using a generalized authentication service, we rely on the opinion of the specific expert; the most knowledgeable authority on each particular piece. Through our years in the industry, we know who the experts are, and they are used to dealing with us.
We do not take any risks on the pieces that we sell. The provenance of each piece is the most important thing. If the provenance is impeccable, then we move on to authentication of the piece or signature. If any part of the equation does not add up, we simply do not deal with the piece.
We offer a Certificate Of Authenticity, which is a lifetime guarantee that the piece is real, with every piece. A Certificate Of Authenticity is only as good as the company that issues it. Our reputation is impeccable, and our letter means something. Buying from us is a no-risk proposition.
Please feel free to email us or call us for more information about the authenticity of our items. Different items are sourced in different ways, and we are always happy to discuss this topic. It is the most important facet of our business. Feel free to contact us with any questions through EBay or through our website (search for "The Autograph Source Aspen").
