    Motor with VFD
    The VFD is the best selling KBAC-27D. The 2hp motor is TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) which is the only choice for harsh grinding environments. It has a steel foot plate for mounting it to a bench & the face is 56C. Motor shaft is 5/8" diameter. The VFD is wired for 110V so the motor produces 1.5HP but it can also be rewired for 220V (original instructions for the VFD enclosed) to produce full 2HP. A 4" diameter cnc turned solid aluminum drive wheel is included.
    Some of our motors are also blue in color.

    full details. Beware of rip off's selling imported wheels as "rubber", they're not rubber they're cheap, thick, two part mixed urethane. You cannot re-coat such wheels when they wear out (& they wear out real fast). Another tooling arm is included for quick changeover.
    BEWARE: There's at least one irresponsible seller on Ebay who sells a so-called knife grinder with an OPEN motor which is NOT TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled), obviously a very bad idea in a grinding environment. The dust & debris will be ingested by the motor, destroying it in no time. Also think of the dangers involved when quenching blades & water gets into an open motor... sparks will certainly fly, but not the type that a knife maker wants to see! Don't be tricked!
