BANNERMAN SURPLUS-MILITIA BELT PLATE. I was told by another collector that this was MARINE.
This one saw a lot of wear before it came into Bannermans hands.
Worn places from use on the front, lots of gold wash still left on back.
Purchased this Bannerman Surplus relic in the mid 70’s at the old Kennesaw Georgia Civil War show.
Guaranteed to be at least 100 + plus years old.
Wife & I are retired now and downsizing, she says my 50+ years of digging and collecting war relics must go, so I guess its time to let someone else enjoy them now.
