ART DECO SAINT CHRISTOPHER DASHBOARD BADGE by PIERRE CARREL
Exclusively retailed by Mestre & Blatgé in the 1930s. Fantastic pure Art Deco style. The badge combines the St.Christopher image with different enamel tones in geometric shapes.
Measures 70mm x 35mm aprox. Good + condition, with traces of silver plated finish. Signed PIERRE CARREL below the saint's image.
Similar example is photographed and described in Maximiliano Garay 's book " Saint Christophe - dashboard badges of the golden era of motoring " on page 69.
