Antique Gettysburg Fiftieth Anniversary Commemorative Small Tray Meade & Lee

Description

Selling an oval metal tray which is a collectable from the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Tray features raised images of General Lee alongside the Confederate flag, and General Meade next to the U.S. flag. Between them is an image of two hands shaking, symbolizing the reunification of the country.  Below them are images of both Generals' headquarters in Gettysburg. Tray is marked at the top, “FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG”.
Tray measures approx. 3 ¾” x 4 ½”. Reverse has tape on which the prior owner has made genealogical notes. Underneath is a maker’s mark which reads, “MADE IN JAPAN, A.C. BOSSELMAN & CO. NEW YORK”
