    Description

Antique Civil War era letter Chattanooga Tennessee Neosho Missouri TN MO 1968.
I’ll try to read this letter using the voice recording on my phone to give you an idea of what it says. Neosho Missouri December 3, 1968. Dear grandpa, I wrote you sometime sensei did not get my letters for I have not got an answer yet so I thought I would write again for I know you Will appreciate a letter from me anytime. Dear grandpa it would be one of the greatest pleasures in the world to me if I could only come to see you. Although we are many miles apart I think of you often and wish that I could be with you. I hope for the day to come that we shall see each other. Dear grandpa, mother has been very sick for sometime. She is able to go around now. Mother has sold out here she got 00 for her place. She gives possession the first of March.
She talks of giving to Kansas to settle she likes that country better than this and so do I. I wrote uncle Will your son today and told him about us selling out. I think you and him had better come west and all of us go to Kansas and settle. Where we all can enjoy it all? Of life. It would be joy beyond measure for us all to be together. It would afford more much pleasure to go and see you once A week if not more if you lived near enough. I ask you once again to come if you cannot come try and get uncle Will to come and see us all. I have no news of interest everything is peaceably and quiet here. I hope these few lines will reach you with out delay. Hi I’ll be ever glad to hear from you. There is hoping you success and prosperity. Your grandson James Anderson.
