    Description

    1. Edith Clayton's Market Basket by Joleen Gordon - Nova Scotia Museum 1977 first edition - this can be a hard book to find.  Joleen was the head of the Nova Scotia basketry guild for many years.  The book details the making of baskets by the black basket weavers of Nova Scotia.  This style of basket used hand split red maple splints and weavers.  The book is in very good condition and is an invaluable resource for any basket maker.
    2. Creative Ropecraft 4th Edition by Stuart Grainger - a comprehensive look at weaving and knotting rope to make a wide variety of traditional crafts.  The book is in very good condition - title page is missing.
    3. The Use of Cattails Rushes & Grasses in the Textile Arts by Ankaret Dean - 1991 1st ed. - a rare basket making booklet that delves into the use of common grasses and plant materials .  The book is in good condition with some underlining by the previous owner.
