1980's Buick Hood Ornament: New-Old-Stock: Type 1---1970's?

This is a nice N.O.S. Buick hood ornament from the 1980's I think, or possibly late 1970's.
Condition is excellent but not mint.  Look at the hood-angle of the base of yours to make sure it matches this angle.
I've had hundreds of new-old-stock emblems and badges from GM, Ford, and Chrysler over the years and seldom do they go to the assembly plant in perfect condition--there are imperfections. I am retired from General Motors here in Flint and that's just the way it is.
