Circa 1861 Jefferson Davis “Our First President’s Quick Step” Confederate Sheet Music. One of the very few Southern contemporary Civil War pieces I have seen that pictures and celebrates Jefferson Davis as the Confederacy’s First President. Published in Augusta, Georgia by Blackmar & Brothers. 9" x 12". Untirimmed and complete. The only high grade example of this Confederate sheet music I have seen, this very example sold at Heritage Auctions for 35 in May 2012. (I ought to know, I bought it!) Since buying this nine years ago I have not seen another high grade example available for sale or auction anywhere!

Jefferson Davis: Patriotic Confederate Sheet Music. This is a fine copy of "Our First President's Quick Step" by P. Rivinac. It was published in Augusta, Georgia by Blackmar & Brothers. Even though marked "Ninth Edition" (a selling ploy), there was only one edition and this is it! This copy is complete in four pages (a single sheet folded in half). It measures 9" x 12".
